World Refugee Day 2023 - June 20Important information from the Diocesan Refugee Unit The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) or the UN Refugee Agency has set aside Tuesday, June 20 as World Refugee Day Given the enormous number of refugees who have been sponsored by DofNW parishes and partner organizations over the years, working with the diocesan Refugee Unit as a Sponsorship Agreement Holder (SAH), it seems appropriate that we commemorate World Refugee Day in our diocese. With the federal government’s current commitment to resettle 500,000 people each year for the next three years we will have our work cut out for us.

Sharing the Good News - Anglican styleCoverage of the Reverend Scott Gunn's visit to Christ Church Cathedral June 9-11 It’s no secret that Anglicans are often reluctant to engage in evangelizing. The reasons are many: worry about imposing one’s religious views on others, feeling ill-equipped, fear of being associated with the heavy-handed tactics and views of stereotypical "evangelicals," or simple shyness. According to the Rev. Scott Gunn, even inviting a friend to church is out of the comfort zone of most Anglicans.
