The Anglican Diocese of New Westminster will have Synod on this coming Saturaday (May 15) morning. Please remember our diocese in your prayer:
O God, we thank you for the Diocese of New Westminster. Bless our bishop (John) and all priests, deacons, and church people. Bless all personnel who are working in our churches, schools, and social service institutions. Grant that the whole diocese may truly preach your Word, hear your Word, administer and receive your Sacrements faithfully. By you Spirit, fashion our lives according to the example of your Son, and grant that we may make manifest your love to all among whom we live. Amen.
This Thursday (May 13) is The Feast of the Ascension of Jesus Christ, also called Ascension Day, Ascension Thursday. It commemorates the Christian belief of the bodily Ascension of Jesus into heaven. Following the account of Acts 1:3 that the risen Jesus appeared for 40 days prior to his Ascension, Ascension Day is traditionally celebrated on a Thursday, the fortieth day of Easter. Since we won’t have worship service on this Thursday, our parish is going to observe the Day on this coming Sunday.
Sunday in-person worship suspended, please follow the service on YouTube
