There are a number of different ministries operating for youth and children in the Diocese of New Westminster; and you can find information about all of them in these pages. Diocesan wide initiatives and events for youth are coordinated by the Diocesan Youth Movement, a unit formed by youth and youth leaders from around the Lower Mainland. The DYM organize diocesan wide initiatives and opportunities for training and equipping children's and youth leaders. Many individual parishes operate ministries among young people. There are also groups operating ministries which are open to all youth in the diocese, such as Camp Artaban, Sorrento Centre and the British Columbia and Yukon Anglican Youth Movement (BCYAYM).
The Diocesan Youth Movement in the Anglican Diocese of New Westminster affirms diversity of individuals and perspectives while fostering relationship with God and with each other. We seek to equip youth and youth leaders to seek challenge and growth through positive action within individuals, the Church and the wider world.
