Members of St. John the Divine in Maple Ridge have been participating in this year’s Groundwork series provided by the diocese. Our special project is called Christmas Homecoming. We’re inviting over 150 of our neighbours to a special Christmas-themed Sunday service on 22 December. We’ve been busy preparing our greeters and sidespeople to welcome our neighbours; the congregation has been practicing some changes to make our worship more user-friendly, and our hospitality team has planned a very special reception afterwards to give guests and visitors a chance to get to know us. Opportunities to stay in touch with our new friends and expand our community connections are all part of our event design. Bring the whole family for door prizes, gifts for visitors and guests, and a Santa selfie with Mrs. Claus and an elf. It’s all part of St. John the Divine’s special Groundwork project to grow the church. If you’re in Maple Ridge on Sunday, 22 December, stop by for our 10am service, and stay for a festive reception.

Ugly Christmas Sweaters are welcomed and encouraged!
