Having sung our Hosannas for Palm Sunday in the morning, we gather at 4pm to hear the first Passion Gospel reading.  This year, we have St Luke’s telling of Christ’s betrayal, trial and death, framed within a traditional service of Evensong. The music is both very old (plainsong) and very new (written within the last half-century) and it includes beautiful music for organ – when we get to Good Friday later in the week, we will have put away all our instruments and will offer all our music a cappella.

For those who cannot make it to the other services of Holy Week, this is an opportunity to accompany our Lord to the cross, the journey that made possible the ultimate joys of Eastertide.

Please join St Mary’s choir, with Brigid and Carl, at 4pm this Passion Sunday, online or in person.
