The Metro Vancouver Alliance (MVA) is holding a Municipal Election Assembly with the candidates running in the upcoming municipal election.
Together with hundreds of community members from across Metro Vancouver, MVA will ask Vancouver's mayoral candidates to make public commitments to work with our Alliance on four key priorities:
This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from the mayoral candidates as they respond to these proposals and make clear, public commitments to our communities.
The Municipal Election Assembly is more than a political event; it is an opportunity for our organizations to stand together, demonstrate the strength of our collective voice, and help shape the future of our city.
This event is open to members of MVA. The Diocese of New Westminster is a member. As such, members fo the diocese are welcome to attend, but must register via the Diocesan Justice & Peace Unit. If you would like to attend please contact the chairperson of the Justice & Peace Unit, the Rev. Margaret Marquardt.

What is Metro Vancouver Alliance?
Metro Vancouver Alliance is a grassroots coalition of community, faith, labour, and nonprofit organizations. Our vision is a world where communities of all kinds come together united by common goals. We know we must collaborate to tackle the issues we face today. We work on the issues that matter to our membership and result in winnable actions that improve the community. We decide which issues to work on through a process of listening and discernment throughout the Alliance.
