Bishop Skelton and her spouse the Reverend Deacon Eric Stroo attended the Vancouver Women’s March 2018 with Judy Graves, ODNW and about 2,500 others on a wet and windy Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Jack Poole Plaza in Downtown Vancouver.
Almost a year had gone by since the inauguration of US President, Donald Trump and the first Women’s Marches that took place in major centres across the United States and elsewhere.
From media reports and interviews about our local event it seems that many of the women in attendance were American expatriates or had close connections to the USA. Bishop Skelton and Eric certainly fit into that category.
Judy Graves, ODNW presented Bishop Skelton with a special purple hat emblazoned with a cross. Most of you know that the default colour for the hats is pink.
