Bishop Stephens has appointed the Reverend Mark Munn, Interim Priest-in-Charge of St Helen, Surrey effective October 24, 2022. Mark concluded his ministry as priest-in-charge at St Martin, North Vancouver while supporting them as that parish merged with St. John the Evangelist, North Vancouver. Mark succeeds the Reverend Philippa Pride who began as Special Assistant to the Bishop in the Synod Office on October 17.
Holy Trinity, Vancouver will begin a period of interim ministry and discernment with the appointment of the Reverend Craig Tanksley as their Interim Priest-in-Charge (50% time) effective November 1, 2022.
The Reverend Elizabeth Ruder-Celiz has been appointed by the bishop as the next Vicar of St Alban, Richmond (50% time) effective November 7, 2022. Mtr. Liz will conclude her ministry at St John, Shaughnessy with her last Sunday on November 6, 2022.
The Reverend Marnie Peterson, Rector of St. Anne’s, Steveston has been elected by the Council of General Synod CoGS) as the Anglican Church of Canada's clergy representative to the Anglican Consultative Council (ACC). Each Province of the Communion is represented by a clergy, lay and episcopal delegate. Marnie is one of those elected to fill vacancies during this triennium of the ACC. ACC next meets in Ghana in February 2023.
