All Saints’, Mission held their first Festival of Trees event in the Church Hall from December 10 - 14, 2013, featuring a Dramatic Reading of Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol" performed on the evening of December 14. This event was in support of the Mission Community Services Society’s ‘Mission Christmas Bureau’ and admission to the Festival and Dramatic Reading was by cash donation.

All Saints event coordinators Joy Cox and Margaret Peake were delighted to announce that $1,189.78 was raised for the Mission Christmas Bureau. Also, six boxes on non-perishable food items and Christmas gifts were donated by those who attended the event.

For this, the inaugural year there was great support with 27 volunteers giving their time, not to mention the numerous entertainers who performed throughout the run of the festival. The 19 trees entered in the festival were distributed by the Mission Christmas Bureau to families and seniors in the Mission community following the event.
