May 18th, Bishop Michael presided and Archdeacon Stephen Rowe preached at the installation of the Rev’d Scott Gould as rector of St. Helen, Point Grey. A healthy congregation of 200+ attended the service which featured some excellent music by St. Helen’s choir and a Spirit-filled welcome for Scott, Suzanne, Chester, Veronica and Phineas from the parish community. Also in attendance was a large contingent from Scott’s former parish, St. Andrew the Apostle, Langley.
Bishop Michael assured the St. Helen’s community that such a large group attending the induction from the priest’s previous parish was a very good sign.
The evening  included one more celebration and that was the Presentation of the Order of the Diocese of New Westminster by Bishop Michael to Lena Kerr who was unable to attend last November's presentation event at Christ Church Cathedral.
