Patrick Goode was a man who did a great deal in his lifetime to develop the Squamish/Garibaldi region into the beautiful community it is today.
He was a great supporter of the Anglican Church of Canada and the Diocese of New Westminster and during his years active in the church he served several parishes: St. John, Squamish, St. George, Fort langley and St. Oswald, Port Kells. A CA by profession heĀ used his particular gifts in finanical management and organization to benefit the churches.
For these years of dedication, Patrick Goode received the Order of the Diocese of New Westminster in its inaugural year of 2009. His failing health made it impossible for him to attend the investiture service held lastĀ November 1st at Christ Church Cathedral.
He died at the age of 94 on June 3rd in Langley and a Memorial Service was held for him in Surrey on June 12th.
