A person who has served the diocese in several capacities, most recently as chair of the Human Resources Implementation Task Force, Ian Robertson, has been appointed the diocese's assistant treasurer. Ian is a member of St. David's, Delta. Currently Ian is working on a special retirement planning workshop for clergy and diocesan and parish employees who are 50 and over and have started thinking of life after employment.

New rectors will be inducted at their parishes by Bishop Michael Ingham this month and next. On Feb. 7, the Rev. Paul Guiton, formerly at St. Andrew's Langley and St. Oswald, Port Kells, will be inducted as the rector of St. Dunstan, Aldergove. On March 5 the Rev. Elizabeth Northcott, for several years the associate at St. Mary's Kerrisdale, will become the incumbent at All Saints, Ladner.

Barbara Struthers, Planned Giving Administrative Assistant and part-time receptionist in the Diocesan Synod Office, a former warden at St. David's, Delta, has taken temporary leave for a few months. Replacing her for Monday and Tuesday reception duties will be Lesley Godwin, a parishioner of Christ Church Cathedral, where she has at times also done receptionist duties.

St. John the Evangelist, North Vancouver, will say goodbye to the Rev. Dan Meakes at the end of June. Meakes and his wife Cathy have purchased property east of Kamloops, a small farm, and intend to garden and write. Meanwhile he and his parish are engaged in development proposals with the City of North Vancouver.

The Rev. David Findley-Price will have expanded hours at St. John, Whonnock, now that he has retired from 20 years of federal prison ministry. The parish is currently considering a name change since there is another St. John's in the same community, St. John's, Maple Ridge. Both have an address on

River Road
, which has led to considerable confusion.

The Rev. Donna L. Kirkpatrick has been licensed to a half-time position as priest-in-charge of St. Edward, Bridgeport.  Kirkpatrick has been honorary assistant at Holy Trinity, Vancouver since last summer, after coming from the Diocese of Edmonton.
