The Mothers’ Union service at St. James, Vancouver

New officers of the Mother’s Union were officially blessed by Archbishop Douglas Hambidge (retired) at a service at St. James’ in Vancouver last month. They included Canadian president Celia Dodds, Linda Adams, and Jan Strehler, all of St. James’; the Rev. Christine Rowe of St. Catherine’s, North Vancouver; Shirin Theophilus of St. Anselm’s near UBC; and Gloria Kenny of St. Cuthbert’s in Delta.

Returning to West Vancouver from a term as chaplain at a collegiate school in New Zealand is the Rev. Trevor Fisher, who has been appointed rector of St. Stephen, effective in May. He had been at St. Francis-in-the-Wood.

St. Mary’s Curate Kelly Duncan, Bishop Michael Ingham, and newly ordained deacon David Taylor

A new curate at St. Mary’s Kerrisdale is the Rev. David Taylor, who was ordained deacon on his way to the priesthood by Bishop Ingham in a ceremony at St. Mary’s on Feb. 15.
