The Reverend Patricia Reed:
January 30th, 1920 - August 1 - 2013

Pat was among the group of six women who were the first to be ordained Priest in the Anglican Church of Canada on November 30, 1976. She was ordained by Bishop John Snowden at Saint Michael and All Angels Church in Prince George. The preacher was Archbishop Ted Scott.

Pat served in the Diocese of Cariboo until her retirement. After retirement she moved to the lower mainland and settled in the Parish of Saint Cuthbert, North Delta, where she continued to live out her priestly ministry until her death.

Prior to her call to ordination Pat worked as a social worker in a Child Guidance Clinic in Nottingham England and later with emotionally disturbed children in Sacramento, California.
She began her preparation for ordination in September 1973 at VST.

She did her field placement work at Saint David's Tsawwassen and was ordained a Deacon on January 4, 1976 at Saint David's. After graduating from VST in May 1976 she moved to Quesnel, BC to begin her full time ministry.

The Funeral Liturgy for The Reverend Pat Reed will be at 2pm September 7, 2013 at the Parish of Saint Cuthbert 11601 82nd Ave N.Delta BC.
