Dear Parish Family,

Exciting news: we will be having our first Morning Service on Sunday!!!  We will be led by the Reverend Dr. April Stanley.  There is a card for you to sign to thank April for her ministry to us this past winter.  There is a whole list of protocols we have to observe which are below.  During "Phase 2" of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are still restricted to a maximum of 50 worshipers, but even if we reached that magical number there would still be lots of room for us all in the sanctuary with physical distancing.  Please read through the Reopening Protocols so you are prepared for coming to the service.  Masks are encouraged but not required.  We will be celebrating Morning Prayer together - but no coffee.  That will come in Phase 3.

Christ the RedeemerRe-opening Protocols Phase 11, commencing June 14th:

The entrance door will remain open to prevent surface contamination of handles and toincrease ventilation.

***Greeting will take place in the portico.

***Bulletins will not be handed out – they can be collected from the table at the entrance doors andplaced in recycle bins by the exit doors at the end of the service – books will be removed from the pews.

***Traffic flow is one-way  - please enter the sanctuary through the centre doors and exit via the side doors.

***Pews will be measured off in 2 meter sections and marked with tape – only alternate rows will be used.

***Service will be Morning Prayer.

***Physical distancing must be observed and we must refrain from touching each other.

***Music will be piano only – humming is allowed but singing is not permitted.

***The offering plate will not be passed – it will be left on the table at the back of the sanctuary.

***Washrooms are for emergency use only –  users will be asked to sanitize surfaces following use – gloves, paper towels and sanitizer will be provided.

***Coffee time is suspended for now and parishioners are encouraged to leave the building whenthe service is over.

***Guests are required to sign the guest book in the foyer with their full contact information in casethey need to be contacted because of any COVID-19 alerts.

Other Important News: This Saturday at 9 AM, Annette has planned for an outdoor workbee at CTR to rake up all the blackberry branches Terry has so tirelessly cut.  Please come if you can and bring your tools - particularly heavy duty rakes, loppers and clippers, work gloves - and extra to share if you can.  You will be amazed that the spray-on grass seed is sprouting well, thanks to the rain we've had.

Saturday, June 20, 10 AM is our Special Vestry Meeting to discuss, with representatives from the Diocese, our plans for moving forward with property development and ministry here at CTR.  This is a very important meeting so you are asked to attend.  We will also be setting up Zoom conferencing for the meeting for those who want to attend but not in person. If you wish to attend via Zoom please let me know so that I can email you the link.

We are so grateful to have Archdeacon Louie Engnan with us now as our half-time Parish Priest.  Louie will join us next Sunday, the 21st, and we will be livestreaming our service for parishoners at St. Michaels to attend online.  Our June services will be at 10 AM as usual but in July we will move our service time to 11 AM.  Louie will be conducting two services at St. Michaels before coming to ours.

The prayer list for this Sunday is attached.  I am looking forward to seeing those of you who feel ready to venture out and worship in person.  Please take care of yourselves and your families and we will be together again very soon.

God bless,Annie
