One Saturday, December 6 Archbishop John Stephens ordained four new priests and one new transitional deacon. Dean Chris Pappas and Diocesan Indigenous Elder-in-Residence Rikki Kooy welcomed the community to the service. The Rev. Anne Privett preached. 

The newly ordained clergy are: 

The Rev. Dara Crandall

The Rev. Dara Crandall is serving as Assistant Curate at the Parish of St Mark's, Ocean Park. Dara is also enrolled with the Canadian Armed Forces as a military chaplain in training.

The Rev. Neil Jongbloed

The Rev. Neil Jongbloed is serving as Assistant Curate at the Parishes of St Stephen's and St Timothy's, Burnaby. Neil is familiar to many in the DYM already following his work with St Alban the Martyr, Burnaby.

The Rev. Sarah Lehman

The Rev. Sarah Lehman is serving as Curate at the Parish of St Catherine's, Capilano where she's carrying out the functions of Deacon in Charge. Sarah brings lots of church experience including serving the last triennium on CoGS.

The Rev. Claude St-Denis

The Rev. Claude St-Denis is serving as Assistant Curate (non-stipendiary) at Christ Church Cathedral. Claude est bien connu en raison de sa participation aux liturgies diocésaines et de son travail continu à Radio Canada.

The Rev. Shawn Bullock

The Rev. Shawn Bullock was ordained a transitional deacon. He will be serving as curate and fulfilling the functions of temporary Deacon in Charge at St John the Evangelist, North Vancouver. Shawn brings a great deal of experience in Education and Academia to this role.
