On Sunday, June 1 - the Seventh Sunday of Easter - the Anglican Church of Canada marks Jerusalem and Holy Land Sunday. Special prayers and other worship elements may be included the Sunday liturgy on this Sunday to remember and express nearness in prayer to the people of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. Canadian Anglicans are also invited to consider donating to a special project in the Diocese of Jerusalem through the Companions of the Diocese of Jerusalem. This year funds raised through the Companions website will go towards supporting the Princess Basma Rehabilitation Centre in Jerusalem. More specifically, the funds will go towards training a doctor to work with children of Gaza and the West Bank cope with the the physical traumas of war.
