Christmas Socks, Toques and Mittens
Our annual “Sock Tree” for collecting warm winter wear for those who need it will be a little different this year. A tree will be placed outside the church so that people can hang their gifts during December. Items will then be removed and given to agencies working with those who need these items. Warm socks are especially needed.
Home & Family Advent Reflection
HSAC families will engage in a weekly Advent Reflection from the Revised Common Lectionary Prayers for Advent Season. The Slides will be sent each Sunday to families.
Launch of the “Because We Care” Seniors Project
1pm – December 12, 2020
HSAC was recently awarded a grant of $25,000 from the “New Horizons for Seniors Program”, to treat seniors in our community with some love and care packages. As such we have invited some local churches and community groups to partner with us in distributing over 100 Gift Bags to our seniors, each bag valuing over $200. This is a special project for our seniors during this time of Covid-19 to brighten their days and to bring a smile to their faces, all “Because We Care”.
Blue Christmas
Blue Christmas Service: 7pm - December 13, 2020 – This Service will be held for the first time, for those who experience grief at this time of the year
Christmas Eve Service
There will be 2 Christmas Eve Services this year (3:30pm and 6:30pm) to ensure that all members and visitors who love to be present with the HSAC family at this Community Christmas Eve Service, will have an opportunity to do so.
